Sidewalk Cafes and the “Surly” Ordinance

Two Public Hearings

Monday, August 8th, 1:30PM
at
Room 317 City Hall
350 South Fifth Street
Minneapolis, MN 55415

  1. “Surly” Ordinance: This proposed change to the Minneapolis City Ordinance is to create a Brewer Taproom license, which would allow a brewer to sell and serve their beer on their premises.  Here’s a short MPR article about it.
  2. Sidewalk Cafe: This proposed change would allows all sidewalk cafes in the city of Minneapolis to store their furniture on their sidewalk cafe overnight (this option is currently only available uptown and downtown).
