Planning for the Light Rail!

This summer marks the advent of the next light rail opening!

The WBBA has been asked to help coordinate efforts for opening event. This includes but is not limited to planning festivities for the opening weekend and including West Bank businesses and organizations on the planning process.

We’ll be having our first planning session on Thursday January 30th, 2014 at 1pm at the Southern Theater (1420 Washington Ave South.) If you’d like to be involved in planning for this event, please join us! The more the merrier.

New Year’s Day

West Bank friends,

We did not kick off the year quite as anybody had hoped. This week has been an emotional one as we pick up the pieces of the events on New Year’s Day. And while it has been heartbreaking, I can’t say enough about the incredible outpouring of support, concern and help. UofM Training Exercise on Weds

On Wednesday, August 14, the University of Minnesota will hold an emergency training exercise on the West Bank campus beginning at 9:00 a.m. The emergency training exercise will take place at the two Regis Center for Art buildings (east and west), located at 405 and 418 21st Avenue S, Minneapolis. This exercise will allow multiple agencies to test and practice working together so they will continue to be well prepared when responding to major emergencies. This is an exercise only and not an actual emergency.
