WBBA July Member Meeting canceled

Greetings!

If you haven’t heard yet, we’re proud to announce that our Executive Director Jamie Schumacher has a new addition to the family – Madeline Anne Johnson – born Saturday July 6, 1:27pm. 7lbs, 10oz, 21 inches (if you’ve met her husband Nick, you’ll know this kid gets her height from her dad!).

Because Jamie is on leave for a few weeks, the Executive Committee has decided to cancel July’s monthly Member/Delegate Meeting next week (Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Augsburg).

WBBA Membership Committee meeting – this Thurs 7/11 at 9am at Mapps

Greetings!

Although upcoming committee meeting dates are published and shared regularly, and usually committee meeting reminders are sent to committee members only (who needs more email, right?), we wanted to make sure that the full membership had the a special reminder that the Membership Outreach & Engagement Committee will meet this Thursday, July 11th at 9am at Mapps. Thank U 2013 Project Request

Thank U will occur on Sunday, September 22nd, 2013. How the event works is from 11am to 1pm there is a kick- off on Northrop plaza. Then groups disperse to the areas surrounding campus and complete service projects from 1- 4pm. Thank U operates under the mission “One Community, One U” and is a day where students at the University give back to the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses for all they do during the year. Free paint from Valspar Corporation!

The West Bank Business Association, in partnership with Valspar Corporation, will make free paint available for commercial projects on the West Bank from now until October 18 or until we distribute 100 gallons. Approximately 8–10 projects will be awarded paint products based on visual impact, public benefit, intended use, and benefit to those in need.

Requests can be for either interior or exterior paint and must be picked up from Valspar’s St. Paul location after approval. All color selections must be made from Valspar’s existing color line …
